They mostly focus on academic subjects
They usually don't offer physical education, art, music, and sports.
They must learn Religion until they are 14, then they have the choice.
There isn't a cafeteria because they don't eat lunch at school. Since they get out around one o' clock they eat lunch at their house.
Local history, biology, and geography are taught in the primary schools, along with reading, writing, math, and religion.
All these subjects are taught by one teacher. For subjects like music and P.E, they go to different teachers.
In the primary level, they learn to read and write. Also, they offer history, geography, biology, physics, and chemistry. They can also take music, art, and craft lessons and sports. Foreign languages is getting more popular in primary schools.
In Hauptschule they learn, German, mathematics, physics or chemistry, biology, geography, history, religion, music, art, politics, and sports.
English is taught more in the secondary schools than the primary schools.
Grundschule is grades usually 1 - 4
after the Grundschule you can either go to Hauptschule, Realschule,or the Gymnasium. They are all usually grades 5 - 10.
The teachers recommend which school the students go to but the parents are allowed to make the final desision.
Each student must attend at least 9 years of school.
